What happens when franchise leaders step out of conference rooms and into real conversations, real challenges, and real connection? All captured on film.
At FranchiseFilming, we tell the real stories behind franchise brands — the moments where leadership gets honest, growth gets uncomfortable, and progress actually happens.
Co-hosting and filming the first-ever Service Franchise Summit (SFS) wasn’t just another project for us. It was a chance to help create an event where franchise leaders could slow down, open up, and work on their businesses.
This year felt different because we weren’t filming from the sidelines. We helped design the experience. We captured strategy and vulnerability, not soundbites. We saw real relationships form in real time.
“I thought you guys have been doing this for five years.”
Nope. First time. That’s pretty cool.
Franchise leaders are navigating intense pressure right now:
● Rising lead costs
● Franchisee tension
● Tech changes happening faster than teams can adapt
● Less time to think, more decisions to make
What they need is space to work through real challenges with people who understand the franchise game. Time to build genuine relationships that extend beyond business cards and LinkedIn connections. A chance to step back and think strategically without the noise.
The Service Franchise Summit was designed around intimate masterminds, real brand case studies, and outdoor experiences that accelerated trust and conversation. Leaders could dive into 5 or 6 hours with a small group, tackling 2 or 3 different issues and walking away with actionable next steps.
We captured every part of it, and what we filmed blew us away.
Leaders shared real struggles and honest lessons on camera — the kind of vulnerability that makes you lean forward in your seat. These weren’t rehearsed moments. They were raw, real, and they hit different.
“I want to thank them for being honest, vulnerable, because this event wouldn’t happen unless they opened up and were vulnerable during those masterminds.”
Speakers opened up about the hard parts of building and scaling. One talked about needing to reinvigorate their tribe after nine months of feeling burnt-out. Another shared their incredible opportunity to start a franchise from the ground-up and the weight of getting it right.
The kind of content that reminds you why you got into franchising in the first place.
The masterminds were designed to push people slightly out of their comfort zones.
“We by design want you to be a little bit out of your comfort zone. We want everyone to not be afraid to share things that are really difficult for them.”
Attendees weren’t afraid to share things that were really difficult for them. Sometimes the conversations weren’t even about business. They were about the big challenges in life — the stuff that keeps leaders up at night.
One facilitator explained that after running mastermind groups for years, they’ve learned that sometimes the most important conversations aren’t about marketing or operations. They’re about the loneliness that comes with leadership roles and recognizing there’s an army of people sitting across the table going through the same thing.
The format worked. Attendees talked about their failures, learned from each other, and left with specific improvements they could implement. The intimacy level was different from typical conference breakouts. The focus was on what’s not working, how to help, and leaning on the group for real solutions.
“The Service Franchise Summit is something totally different, unique, something that no one in the space is doing.”
Franchise leaders ziplining through Utah’s mountains. ATVs tearing across rugged trails. Group hikes where the best conversations happened between breaths. Campfires where guards came down and wine flowed until 2 AM.
The outdoor component wasn’t just for fun — it was strategic. You get to see people in different contexts, experience them out in the wild, and watch how they handle new situations. It turns a workshop into a workshop experience. Relationships form faster when you’re sharing adrenaline and adventure together.
Leaders bonded while screaming down ATV trails, swimming in natural springs, and gathering around fires. These shared experiences built trust in ways that dinner conversations alone couldn’t match. The venue worked its magic. They weren’t stuck in dark boardrooms for five days or walking 30,000 steps in dress shoes. They were outside learning and growing.
And yes, our team was right there in the middle of it.
“What are we doing here, man? Look at all this gear. Risking our lives for the shot.”
Worth it.
Leaders arrived in Midway, Utah and immediately stepped into an environment designed for clarity and connection. Mastermind groups tackled the hard stuff with peers who understand franchise challenges — marketing, operations, leadership, growth.
Then came the adventure portion. ATVs. Ziplining. Hikes. Campfires. Barriers disappeared. The event shaped itself around attendees and their needs in a way they hadn’t experienced before.
The result? Leaders left with direction, accountability partners, and friendships. Action plans — not just inspiration.
The feedback kept coming back to the same themes — the openness surprised people, the honesty, the willingness of accomplished leaders to share everything happening to them, both wins and struggles.
“I wasn’t expecting how open and just honest everyone was going to be about everything.”
People talked about building their tribe. Not the touch-and-go networking where you swap numbers and never follow up. Real relationships with people you can lean into professionally and personally — the kind where you help each other through challenges and actually stay connected.
The vulnerability stood out too. Everyone carries heavy responsibilities and still walks tall and confidently. The summit created space to acknowledge that it’s okay to be weak sometimes, to ask for help, to admit what you’re struggling with.
Leaders left feeling like they were part of something — a community, a movement.
The format combined education with bonding — strategy with fun. That’s where you find your best moments. The experience let leaders drop their guard and actually be human.
● Real conversations, not scripted panels
● Masterminds built around actual challenges happening right now
● Adventure designed to spark genuine connection
● Vulnerability from speakers and attendees that caught everyone off guard
● Clear, actionable takeaways leaders could implement immediately
This was collaboration with cameras rolling. We captured the moments that matter.
We rarely walk into an event this intentionally built around human connection. Real connection wins every time when the environment creates space for it.
Adventure accelerates trust at a speed that’s hard to believe until you see it. Shared experiences like ziplining or navigating trails together created bonds that would’ve taken months in traditional settings.
Honest dialogue drives growth faster than any presentation deck. When leaders opened up about what isn’t working, that’s where the real learning happened — that’s where the gold lives.
The summit proved that sometimes the things people need to talk about aren’t related to business metrics. They’re about the challenges of leaders
We captured hours of raw footage, insights, and moments that made the first SFS unforgettable — the kind of content that makes you wish you were there.
We’re fired up about Service Franchise Summit 2026. If you thought this year delivered, wait until you see what’s coming.
More speakers bringing deeper insights. Masterminds going harder on tactical takeaways for scaling. More outdoor experiences creating those moments where real relationships form. A bigger community of service franchise leaders ready to level up together.
We’ll be there again — cameras ready — capturing the stories and connections that define modern franchise leadership.
Registration and early bird pricing are live right now. Seats are limited, and they’re moving fast.
CEOs, CMOs, operations leaders, growth partners: this is your event.
Franchise CEOs, founders, CMOs, COOs, and senior leaders in service-based brands.
Collaboration-heavy. Content supports it, doesn't overwhelm it.
Absolutely. The experience was designed knowing stories would be captured authentically.
We're already planning our shot list.
The first Service Franchise Summit proved something powerful. When leaders feel safe enough to be honest, progress happens faster. When you create space for real connection alongside strategic work, breakthrough happens.
We’re gearing up for SFS 2026 right now. If this year showed us anything, it’s that this summit is going to keep growing, keep getting better, and keep delivering what franchise leaders need.
“Thank you guys for being a part of something amazing, honest, vulnerable. We cannot wait to grow Service Franchise Summit. Let’s do it again.”
