Every opening without video is a lost opportunity.
Your franchisees deserve to open visible, trusted, and supported from day one — with their story told powerfully on video.
And with our system, it doesn’t matter if you’re opening 10 units or 700 — we scale, we fit into your FDD or launch budget, and we deliver.
We know how the week goes: packed schedules, back-to-back conversations, the kind of energy that doesn’t really let up until you’re back at the hotel at 11 p.m. It’s a lot. And it’s worth every second.
But this year, something happened at Booth 346 that had nothing to do with video production packages or franchise marketing, and everything to do with it at the same time.
Two puppies — Kodiak and Candy — got adopted on the convention floor.
This year, the FranchiseFilming team brought a new kind of presence to the show floor.
FranchiseFilming partnered with Path to Furever Home, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit dog rescue organization, to bring a small group of adoptable puppies directly into the convention experience at Mandalay Bay.
The idea was simple: real dogs, real people, real moments, right in the middle of one of the most fast-paced business events in franchising.
Path to Furever Home handled all adoption logistics and screenings. The FranchiseFilming Foundation matched 100% of donations made at the booth during the event. Volunteers were on-site to answer questions and walk anyone through the process.
If you’ve been to IFA, you already know. If you haven’t: imagine thousands of franchise leaders, franchisors, franchisees, and suppliers all converging in one place for three days straight, all with somewhere to be and someone to meet.
That energy is electric. It’s also what makes it easy for booths to start feeling like transaction points. You stop, you pitch, you swap cards, you move. Meaningful connection takes a back seat.
Puppies, it turns out, don’t care about any of that. They just want to be held.
“This is by far the largest, and it’s our Super Bowl, our World Cup. Our Olympics all wrapped into one. Anyone who is anyone will be here at the show, and it’s an absolute can’t miss.” – Dianne Davis
One attendee walked past our booth with no intention of adopting a dog. She saw one of the pups being held by someone else. She asked if she could hold him. That was it.
She came to a franchise convention and left with a puppy.
“I was walking by and another girl was holding him, and I ended up being able to hold him. And I fell in love and came to a conference and left with a puppy.”
That’s not a marketing win. That’s just a good thing that happened.
By the end of the three days, February 23 through 25, Kodiak and Candy had been placed in homes. Both adopters went through Path to Furever Home’s full process, including application and home verification. For out-of-town adopters, the organization coordinates travel and follow-up so distance isn’t a barrier.
We also ran our “Film My Franchisees” giveaway at IFA this year, raffling off a complete video production package for three franchisees.
The winner was Scott Lanni from Hounds Town USA, a dog daycare and boarding franchise closing in on its 100th location nationwide and the IFA’s 2025 Emerging Franchisor Award winner. Trevor called Scott’s number, Scott picked up, and walked straight over to Booth 346 to sign the check on the spot.
What made it even better: Rob Flanagan, CEO and Cultural Co-Founder of Hounds Town USA, was sitting right across from our booth the whole time. He had no idea Scott had just won until Scott came back to tell him. Both of them accepted the package together, and we got the photos to prove it.
When we asked Scott what he was most excited about, he didn’t miss a beat: “Video is such a strong form of content. Hounds Town is completely based on the town and being in the community. Using video to be in the community will be very powerful for them.”
A dog rescue at our booth. A dog franchise winning our giveaway. We didn’t plan it that way. But we’ll take it.
Path to Furever Home is a volunteer-run nonprofit rescue organization based in Las Vegas, dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs in need throughout Southern Nevada. Every dog in their care is looked after by foster families, unpaid volunteers who open their homes while a permanent match is found. The rescue is funded entirely through adoption services, fundraising, and public donations.
Every dollar donated at our booth went directly toward their mission, and the FranchiseFilming Foundation matched it.
